Near Real time Inundation Maps of Districts of Uttar Pradesh state
Statistics prepared by FMISC, Lucknow based on the analysis of SENTINEL-1A / SAR satellite data on dated August 09, 2020 (Source:- National Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO, Dept. of Space, Govt. of India, Hyderabad)
Observations:-
-Satellite data Covers part of Uttar Pradesh State, Inundation were reported due to heavy incessant rains in various parts of Uttar Pradesh in the last week of July, 2020. -Major Inundation is observed in Gorakhpur, Ballia, Deoria, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau, Siddharth Nagar, Azamgarh, Mahrajganj districts & found Minor Inundation in Ambedkar Nagar districts. -Flood map includes riverine flood, low lying areas, rainfall induced floods and isolated patches of Waterlogged areas. - “Inundation includes rain water accumulation / flood water in low lying areas.”
